Full 5-A-Side Rules Online

 

Accumulative fouls Per half each team has 5 fouls to give. After the 5th foul, the 6th foul forward equals a PK. (From the Official FIFA Futsal rule book)

Yellow Cards 1 Yellow card, that player must sit for 2 minutes before return, and team plays down a player. 2 yellows banned for rest of the game. You can still get a further red if you are on the sideline. Ref’s can give yellow’s or reds for verbal abuse towards the ref.

Ball out of bounds Anywhere above the boards, meaning all netting, roof, outside the pitch etc. Starts with a re-set Free Kick for the opposing team from the point of infraction. Corners are taken back at the halfway line as a freekick. All re-sets are direct and only allowed to be taken with a one-step run up. Goal Kicks are taken on the ground within the box.

Penalty Kicks  Are taken five yards from the top of the box with one-step run up. Denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity, Goalkeeper slide tackling or handling the ball outside of his box results in a penalty kick.

Subbing Rule Player must be off the pitch before entering the pitch. Gate must be closed immediately after the sub. Hopping the boards is encouraged as it is the safer way.

Time The clock starts when your game is scheduled to start. The games are 2×25 minute halves with a 5 minute break. Please be mindful of the other teams and show up on time.

NO Boarding Allowed No “board checking” tackles into the boards. The referee will determine if there was intent or not and will issue a red or yellow card accordingly.

No Slide Tackles Allowed You can go to ground to block shots etc, but can not slide in the direction of the player. Goalkeeper can slide tackle inside of his own box.

Futsal Ball & Futsal Rules – A futsal ball will be used for competitive league play to control play. Some of our rules also come from the Futsal rule book in light of promoting more creative play, and to ensure less injuries.

LEAGUES – No Show Rule Your team receives $50 off the following league sign-up, each time this happens. Your team will still be able to use the hour slot to play!
